Jack Bloom, Alpha Capital, Endorses Character

A Highly-Regarded Financier

Jack Bloom, President and Founder of Alpha Capital Holdings Inc., is one of the highest-regarded financiers currently working in the lion's den of US capital markets. He has worked on Wall Street for over 25 years, both as a Managing Director and as Head of Corporate Finance for a number of boutique investment banks. Jack Bloom has an enviable track record of originating and executing numerous Merger & Acquisitions, private placements, and IPOs. He is a senior adviser to many Boards of Directors, CEOs, institutional funds, and high-net-worth individuals.

Additionally, Jack Bloom founded a highly-profitable financial service business with his Wall Street partners that was later sold to a group of hedge funds. During the 2008 financial crisis, he was a close adviser to Congress regarding bank regulation. He is a graduate cum laude of Harvard College, where he received his MBA from the prestigious MIT Sloan School of Management. During his time at Harvard, Jack Bloom studied directly alongside Nobel Laureates Fisher Black, Robert Merton, Paul Samuelson, and Robert Solow. Mr. Bloom was also Adjunct Professor of Management at the NYU Stern School of Management and Peking University.

One of the best pieces of advice ever offered to Jack Bloom, Founder and President of the Alpha Capital Holdings Corporation, is the old adage, 'Those who lie with dogs, wake up with fleas.' Although the application of the popular saying may not immediately be apparent in a financial context it lies, reveals Jack Bloom, at the very heart of Alpha Capital's philosophy.

Alpha Capital  has carved itself a niche in the sector of growth financing both private and public small to medium-sized companies and technologies. To this end, Founder and President, Jack Bloom and Alpha Capital employ a two-point criterion for selecting those companies it wishes to finance. The first of these is the 'character' of the company – and this is where the point of the adage is explained. Alpha Capital strongly believes that the good character of any company will necessarily embrace a defined ethical and moral core at the center of any business worth its salt. Simply put, if that quality is lacking then Jack Bloom would prefer to have nothing to do with the business – despite it having a potentially lucrative future. The second criterion is that there has to be something extraordinary about the company, something that truly defines it from its competitors. A good illustration, discloses Jack Bloom, would be a restaurant that regularly has lines of people patiently waiting  to gain entrance. Or a bio-tech company that continually demonstrates excellence in its clinical trials. Indeed, Alpha Capital refuses to be pigeon-holed to one specific industry sector.
